Big deal


So, for those of you who are much, much better swimmers than I, this won’t seem like such a big deal.  Today I swam an entire length of the pool freestyle breathing the whole way.  For me this is big, big news.  I have never been comfortable swimming and I feel like every time I get in the pool I am a little better than the time before.  I still have a long way to go to make my goal, but I can at least see it now.

Challenge for myself


I decided to challenge myself a little with todays run. Since getting back to running I really haven’t gone over 3 miles at a time, so today I decided to go 4.5 and see how I do. The result is positive I think. I did walk twice for a total of 4-5 minuets or so, but ran the rest of the way. My pace is way down, but not too bad really. Special thanks to Kid Rock for getting through the last 1/4 mile, Bah Widah Bah baby!!!!!

I am feeling great these days. No back pain, no running all over the place. Back to a schedule which means back to serious working out. I also got my stitches out today so I’ll be back in the pool tomorrow.

I really want to see my swimming improve so I can move on to longer triathlons. I am also eyeing possible 1/2 marathons to do in the spring time.
